Amendment 1
This amendment gives the right to believe in any religion you want to. It also give the freedom of speech, petition, and Assembly.
Amendment 2
This amendment gives the right to bear arms.
Amendment 3
This amendment protects the people from having to allow soldiers in their houses.
Amendment 4
This amendment protects the people from unreasonable searches of people, or property. Also no one can take a person's property. Polices, and other officials need a warrant to search one's property.
Amendment 5
This amendment is basically five rights for accused criminals. There has to be a Grand Jury Hearing, and no double jeopardy, which means you cannot be tried twice for the same crime. Another right is no self-incrimination. Also the government must follow clear rules, and act reasonably as it carries out the law.
Amendment 6
Amendment six states that you have the right to a quick speedy trial. You have the right to an impartial jury. You have the right to know the charges against you. Also you have the right to question witnesses against you. Finally you have the right to an attorney to assist in defense.
Ammendment 7
This amendment is about rights about civil trials. This states that after a jury decides upon the facts, the judge cannot overturn the decision. The value has to be over 20$ for jury trial to be allowed.
Ammendment 8
Before the trial you are protected from excessive bail. After the trial you are protected from excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishments.
Ammendment 9
Amendment nine says that people have all other rights even if they are not listed in the constitution.
Ammendment 10
Amendment 10 states that powers not given to the federal government, or prohibited by the Constitution, are the powers of the states or the people.
